Women's Ministry
The purpose of the Women’s Ministries of Calvary Baptist Church is to build friendships among the women for support, encouragement, and accountability. In this
day and age when women are torn by so many demands and expectations, women need an opportunity to get apart, be challenged by God’s Word, meet with friends
who have a listening ear, and to laugh and cry together.
Weekly Bible Study
Our Wednesday evening Bible study has proved to be a great encouragement to a number of ladies. We have a faithful group that love to come together to study God’s Word and pray together. We recently finished a study called "Giving God Your All". We've also done studies on "Managing Your Moods" and one on "Joy". Currently, we are doing a study called "Genesis: God’s Creative Call". This Wednesday group has helped build friendships and accountability. We also work together to encourage others in the church through notes and cards.
Scrapbooking
Another activity for the women (and men too) is a monthly scrapbooking session. Anyone interested in creating scrapbooks with their favorite memorabilia and photos is welcome to meet with us one Saturday each month. We start at 9:30 AM and crop our photos and create fun pages until 4:30 PM. Everyone brings a little something to share for lunch. The time passes quickly and if you cannot stay the entire time, you come and join the fun for as long as you can stay. Our lives and friendships are enriched by sharing stories and memories. Friends, family, and anyone with a desire to scrapbook are invited to join us. Check our calendar page to see when the next session is taking place..

Annual Retreats
A highlight of the year for the women is to join with the other area CBA churches for a retreat. This event is held at Ligonier Camp and Conference Center, Ligonier, PA, in October at the height of changing of the leaves. We have godly, challenging speakers who encourage us in our walk with the Lord, beautiful music, usually provided by the ladies of the various churches, fun and games, good food, and wonderful fellowship.
Ladies and Girls Banquet
Another highlight is our annual Ladies and Girls Banquet held in May. For a few years, we have had to skip this activity, but are reinstating it because it was
greatly missed. The evening consists of great food – served by the men of the church, games, skits, music, beautiful decorations, and a devotional.
