SECTION III: TEAM MINISTRIES - FELLOWSHIP
Purpose:
This ministry team is responsible for planning, organizing and staffing church fellowships such as dinners, picnics, bridal and baby showers, birthday fellowships, after church get-togethers and any other activity associated with fellowship of church members and attendees. A cooperative spirit among members is necessary for organizing, setting up, and cleaning up fellowships.
The team is not necessarily expected to do all the work, but they are responsible to see that all work is completed. They may call on other individuals to help.
Responsibilities:
1) Planning fellowships for the coming year (keeping in mind the variety of groups of church people - singles, elderly, couples, families, children, etc).
2) Keeping a record of all fellowships to include: date, menu, program and number in attendance.
3) Seeing that the facilities (tables, chairs, Sunday School rooms, etc.) are set up and cleaned up. Others may be called on to help in this area.
4) Planning menus for food fellowships.
5) Asking someone to present a devotional when appropriate.
6) Planning and putting in place decorations.
7) Keeping the supply cupboard well-stocked. This includes plates, napkins, cups, silverware, table covering, coffee, tea, cold drinks, sugar and creamer, etc. These are available in quantity from Sam's Club and other restaurant supply companies. One person on the team will be appointed to purchase all supplies, the church Treasurer may be contacted for the funds needed.
8) Booking caterers or recruiting servers when needed.
9) Keeping the kitchen area clean (individual groups who use church facilities for church functions are responsible for cleaning up after themselves).
