SECTION III: TEAM MINISTRIES - MISSIONS
Purpose:
The purpose of this ministry team is to stimulate a concern and burden for both home and foreign missions among the church members and attendees.
Responsibilities:
This ministry team is to work under the authority of the Elders to inform the people about the various mission fields and missionaries, promote the financial and prayer support of missions, and to see the Lord send forth from our church new missionaries. Some of the ways by which the team should do this include:
1) Seeing that letters are written regularly to the missionaries supported by the church. This may be done personally or by others.
2) Organizing projects and mission trips to meet a particular need of a missionary or mission group.
3) Keeping the missions information table/Display updated and attractive.
4) Organizing a Mission Conference, maybe in conjunction with other CBA churches in the area.
5) Acquaint the congregation with the various missionaries and mission organizations, their fields, and their particular needs by having them come as guest speakers whenever possible.
6) Evaluating additional missionary and mission organizations and recommending them to the Elders for possible support
